BLAINE, Wash. — Officials with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced today BNSF Railway crews are scheduled to close the railroad crossing at Bell Road (SR548) and Peace Portal Drive in order to make repairs.

The crossing will be closed to all traffic continuously beginning at 6am on Tuesday, November 16th, through 5pm on Thursday, November 18th.

Click for more informationA signed detour will direct drivers around the closure. Flaggers will be on hand to direct traffic through the area according to the WSDOT announcement.
Drivers are advised to use alternate routes and expect delays in the area.
Officials with the City of Blaine say a detour route will be available via Hughes Avenue, Dodd Street, Leighton Street and Runge Ave.
