FERNDALE, Wash. — Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) officials warn of potential traffic delays over a 45-hour period due to road repairs scheduled along approximately 1 mile of northbound I-5 in the area of the Slater Road interchange.

Northbound I-5 will be reduced to one lane for 45 hours beginning Sunday evening, July 7th while crews repair about 1 mile of pavement. The crews will be laying down new asphalt to preserve the road until a more permanent fix can be made according to WSDOT.

The right lane of northbound I-5 from the Slater Road interchange and the on-ramp to northbound I-5 is expected to be closed Sunday evening beginning at 10pm until Monday evening. Crews will then reopen the right lane and on-ramp and close the left lane of northbound I-5 in the same area. All lanes are expected to be reopened by 7pm Tuesday, July 9th.
