BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Officials with the Washington Department of Transportation announced about 7:30pm tonight, November 16th, that the northbound lanes of I-5, near Nulle Road, have been reopened.

Washington State Department of Transportation crews were reported to have been working throughout the day today to clear a debris slide that covered both lanes of northbound I-5 and resulted in both northbound and southbound lanes being closed overnight.

Southbound lanes were reopened this morning but the northbound lanes remained closed until tonight’s announcement.

They added that there is still some work to finish this week that may require occasionally closing a lane.
