Some Without Power as Winds Return

Whatcom News file graphic.

power outage DF stock graphicAs the National Weather Service forewarned with a Wind Advisory, since 10am today, December 10th, wind gusts in Ferndale have bounced between 40 and 60 MPH.

While the cause has not been officially confirmed, it could be assumed that a power outage that began just before noon today impacting over 150 Puget Sound Energy customers in the neighborhoods near Douglas and S Church Roads was wind-related.

There was at least one 65 MPH gust recorded in Ferndale about 11:20am.
