UPDATED: Wind advisory says to expect up to 50mph gusts

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — The Seattle office of the National Weather Service have issued a wind advisory today, Monday, January 3rd, for early morning through late afternoon tomorrow.

The advisory says Whatcom County can expect east to northeast winds 25 to 35mph with gusts up to 50mph between 1am and 4pm tomorrow.

At the same time, forecasters expect temperatures in the low- to mid-30s with an 80% chance of precipitation. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible.

UPDATE January 4th: This wind advisory has been canceled.
