Wind advisory issued through late this evening

FERNDALE, Wash. — The National Weather Service Seattle office this afternoon issued a Wind Advisory for today, November 4th, until 9pm.

According to the alert, sustained south winds of 20 to 30mph with gusts to 50mph are expected in western Whatcom, Skagit and San Juan Counties.

With winds this strong, power outages resulting from downed trees and tree limbs are a possibility.
