National Weather Service Seattle office forecasters have issued a Wind Advisory that is in effect from 8am to 5pm tomorrow, Wednesday, October 16th.

According to forecasters, winds are expected to gradually build beginning the morning and peak in the afternoon.

Sustained southerly winds of 20 to 35mph with gusts to 45mph are expected in some western Whatcom, Island and Skagit County areas.

While forecasters are not entirely certain wind strength will reach these levels, being this would be the first wind event of the season and most trees still have their leaves, there will be opportunity for wind-caused damage so they are erring on the side of caution.
