The following agencies, organizations and business have announced they will be canceling or delaying opening or providing services Wednesday, February 13th, due to the winter weather impacts.
- Ferndale YMCA – delayed opening, will open at 9am.
- Lummi Nation School – classes canceled
- Northwest Indian College – classes canceled
- Lummi Indian Business Council – closed
- Ferndale School District – all school classes have been canceled along with before and after school activities along with evening activities
- Boys & Girls Club Ferndale Clubhouse – closed and all Ferndale clubhouse activities canceled
- Pioneer Meadows Montessori School – classes canceled
- The Loving Tree School – classes canceled
- Ferndale Public Library – opening at noon and will close at 5pm
- Ferndale City Hall – open at 11am. Essential services remain in operation
- Ferndale Senior Activity Center – closed and afterhours activities canceled, including the scheduled potluck
- Sanitary Service Company (SSC) crews will continue making curbside garbage and recycling pickups as scheduled but, according to their website, delays and service disruptions are possible. Click here for more information.
- Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA) buses will be running on all routes (except 65) but buses may be delayed or detoured due to conditions. Click here for more information. Route 50 remains detoured. No Zone service or Flex rides.
- Ferndale Food Bank – closed. Will be providing a special distribution on Friday. Monday clients are asked to come in from 9am to noon. Wednesday clients are asked to come in from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. The next regular distribution is Saturday.
- Everyday Fitness – all classes cancelled but open with staff from 7am to 11am. Anyone with 24hr access will still have access.
- Flow Motion – classes canceled
- Locker Room Fitness – Limited classes and childcare. Open at 7am and will have classes at 8:30, 9:30 and 10:30am. Childcare will be morning only from 8am to 1pm.
- Unity Care NW – opening at 10am.
- Hot Dogz & Kool Catz – closed
- Applegrove Junction Antiques – closed
- Barb’s Pies & Pastries – open 10am to 4pm
- Samuel’s Furniture – closed
- New Mexico Tamale Company – closed
- Twin Sisters Creamery – closed
