6:55am: Good morning. It’s a mid-40s and rainy kind of morning. The rains have returned but according to the Nooksack River level forecast, the river crested overnight and has begun to recede.

Check Discover Ferndale’s road closures and hazards map for flood impacted roads. Most notable road closures remain as Slater Road, Marine Drive, Ferndale Road (south of Slater Road) and Barrett/Paradise Roads.

Expect delays west of 4th Avenue on Main Street as roadwork by the public library continues.

The Ferndale weather forecast calls for a return of the rain with showers at times. The high will be in the mid-50s with northeast winds from 5 to 10mph. The chance of rain is 60%.
