7:45am: Good morning. Temperatures are in the upper 50s around Ferndale under a marine layer of clouds with light rain and a breeze from the north. Air quality is being reported in the GOOD range.
TRAFFIC
- Washington Street between Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue remains closed to through traffic until October. The official detour route is via Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue.
- This summer’s resurfacing project on I-5 between Ferndale and Blaine is scheduled to continue tonight. Pavement markings and rumble strips will be installed on the southbound and northbound on- and off-ramps at Slater Road (Exit 260) and Main Street (Exit 262) between 8pm and 6am. Drivers can expect ramp closures at these exits during this time but only one interchange will be closed at a time according to the contractor. One lane of I-5 northbound through the work areas may be closed as well between 7pm and 11am.
