This seasonably cool weather is expected to continue through the Memorial Day weekend. But come the Tuesday following, things are expected to change.
While the first half of this month served up unseasonably warm weather including days with high temperatures in the 80s, recent days have been more typical of May in the Pacific Northwest with cloudy days, highs in the 50s and 60s and occasional light rain.
But, come Tuesday following the Memorial Day weekend, forecasters tell us we can expect to see warmer and sunnier for days. The forecast is for highs in the mid- to upper 70s and lows in the 50s with zero chance of rain.
This great weather forecast is just in time to coincide with the volunteer build of the playground structure south of Pioneer Park being referred to as “Star Park.” For those who would rather be outside enjoying the weather and participating in the community effort than being inside working, signing up for shifts is a simple process. Volunteers will be treated to meals and free daycare. Click here for more volunteer details.
