Volunteers from Alcoa Intalco Works were out early this morning helping put up the hanging flower baskets that now line Main Street and other parts of Ferndale. Brad and Rhonda Oxford were also on hand with their cherry picker truck to keep the process moving quickly.
The flower baskets are purchased by the City of Ferndale. Installing and maintaining their the baskets is handled by volunteers at the direction of the Ferndale Chamber.
The baskets typically remain up between May and September.
