BELLINGHAM, Wash. — First responders were dispatched about 6:05 on Thursday, June 30th, due to a report of a structure fire in the 3400 block of Northwest Avenue.
Initial reports from the scene were that someone was trapped inside.
Bellingham Fire Department firefighters made entry to the building, locating a person inside who was then transported by ambulance to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center with serious injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Update 7/1/2022: The victim did not survive their injuries.
