7:55am: Good morning. Temperatures are in the mid 40s around the Ferndale area under cloudy skies with winds from the southwest and occasional rain. Air quality is being reported in the GOOD range. Last night’s low was 36°. About 0.15″ of rain has fallen since midnight.
A Wind Advisory is in effect until 6pm today. Sustained winds of 20 to 35mph with gusts of 40 to 50mph are expected. So far winds have been mostly to the south or along the coast. A Sandy Point weather station reported a 52mph gust at 6:16am. Puget Sound Energy is dealing with just over 5,000 customers without power. All are south of Whatcom County.
