7:30am: Good morning. Temperatures around Ferndale are in the low 50s under a cloudy sky with little to no breeze. Air quality is being reported in the GOOD range. About 0.05″ of precipitation fell overnight.
TRAFFIC
- Washington Street between Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue remains closed to through traffic until October. The official detour route is via Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue.
- This summer’s resurfacing project on I-5 between Ferndale and Blaine is scheduled to resume this evening. As workers add pavement markings over the new surface, drivers can expect the following northbound and southbound ramp closures (one-at-a-time, not concurrently) between 8pm and 6am as well as one lane of I-5 through the work areas between 7pm and 11am as well:
- Portal Way Ramps (Exit 263)
- Grandview Ramps (Exit 266)
- Birch Bay-Lynden Ramps (Exit 270)
