7:30am: Good morning. It’s overcast and temperatures around Ferndale are in the mid-50s, several degrees cooler than yesterday at this time. But forecasters tell us to expect a high today in the upper 70s.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Roadwork on northbound I-5 between Ferndale and Blaine continues until 11am today. Along with a lane closure in the area, the northbound on- and off-ramps at the Birch Bay-Lynden interchange (exit 270) are scheduled to be closed during that time. This work will restart at 7pm this evening with the lane closure but no ramp closures expected.
