Whatcom County Public Works announced pavement striping work is scheduled for 6am to 6pm Tuesday, July 28st, on the following roads
- W Smith Road, between the Guide Meridian and Ferndale city limits
- Northwest Road, between Slater Road and W Axton Road
- W Axton Road, between the Guide Meridian and Ferndale city limits
Drivers should expect prolonged delays on these roads during this work and are advised to use alternate routes.
Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office deputies will assist with traffic control according to the announcement and drivers are reminded that traffic fines are double in work zones.
