The Old Settlers Pioneer Grand Parade will take a slightly different route this year and block more than one route into town.
The Washington Street detour route and Main Street are both parts of the Old Settlers Grand Parade route. As a result, both are expected to be closed Saturday from well before the 11am start of the parade until the end of the parade at around 1pm.
Alternate routes in and out of town via I-5 include Portal Way via Brown Road to the north and Slater Road via Imhof Road to the south.
The parade route this year begins at the Ferndale High School parking lot. The route will continue east on Vista Drive to 3rd Avenue, 3rd Avenue to Main Street, Main Street to 1st Avenue then south to Pioneer Park (see map below).
