BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) officials announced this morning, June 22nd, that drivers can expect to encounter a closed on-ramp and lane of I-5 at the Slater Road interchange for several hours today.

A WSDOT work crew will close the right northbound lane of I-5 in the area of the Slater Road interchange and the Slater Road northbound I-5 on-ramp between 10am and 2pm today.

The closures are needed while the crew repairs a concrete patch that began breaking apart.

In addition, the left lane of southbound I-5 will be closed between 10am and 1pm while a WSDOT crew performs repairs on the median cable barrier south of the Slater Road interchange.
