For students, teachers and parents, today was a 2018 milestone day as it marked the last day of school for the 2017-18 school year and the first day of the summer break.
Staff and administrators from the Ferndale School Administration building came out to cheer students heading off to begin their 12-week break.
Students are scheduled to return to school for the 2018-19 school year on Wednesday, September 5th.
