Today’s commute – weather – events. Right here in Ferndale.
7am: Good morning. Unless you’re in a sound-proof structure, you know the winds have been howling for hours. This has resulted in power lines, power poles, trees and other debris down in roadways. Drivers are advised to be alert. In most cases warning flares are marking places where power lines or other hazards are in the road. People had been driving past them in at least one location only to find themselves driving by live power lines in the road.
Due to the power outage, traffic signals are out east of the river and across I-5. Treat as 4-way stops.
