Thursday morning update

7:15am: Good morning. Temperatures are in the upper 40s around the Ferndale area under overcast skies with winds from the southeast. Air quality is being reported in the GOOD range. The overnight low was 43.5°.

TRAFFIC

Water has spilled over Ferndale Road, north of Slater Road, due to the high river level but the road remains open. There is also surface water flooding across W Smith Road, west of LaBounty Drive, and that road remains open also.

The Lummi Island ferry, Whatcom Chief, will be temporarily out of service for refueling this afternoon between 12:30pm and 1:20pm.
