7:55am: Good morning. Temperatures are in the low 60s around Ferndale under mostly clear skies. Air quality is being reported in the GOOD range. Today is the second of three days forecast to reach highs in the 80s.
TRAFFIC
Washington Street between Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue remains closed to through traffic until October. The official detour route is via Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue.
Resurfacing work continues on I-5 as workers are now striping the new surfaces. Tonight, between 8pm and 6am, drivers can expect the I-5 southbound on- and off-ramps at Portal Way (Exit 263), Grandview Road (Exit 266), Birch Bay-Lynden Road (Exit 270) and Peace Portal Way (Exit 274) to be closed. Note that only one interchange’s ramps will be closed at any time as the work crew makes their way northward. And, as always, drivers can expect one lane of I-5 northbound to be closed through the work areas.
