7:30am: Good morning. Temperatures are in the high 40s around Ferndale this morning under overcast skies with a breeze from the south. The forecast is for a cooler day with a chance of rain. A quarter of an inch of rain has fallen in Ferndale since 10pm last night with almost 90% falling before midnight.
The citywide water flush project remains on hold this week while Public Works crews are busy preparing the site for the upcoming Star Park volunteer build.
TRAFFIC
Roadwork is scheduled to continue until 11am today and resume again this evening between Portal Way and Blaine on northbound I-5 around 7pm and continue overnight until 11am tomorrow. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work area so delays can be expected. NOTE: This project is very weather dependent so rain is likely to cause temporary breaks in the work.
