WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) have scheduled maintenance work along I-5 on Thursday, April 17, 2025, and April 18, 2025, requiring closing a lane.
From 3:30am to 2pm on Thursday, maintenance crews will close the left lane of southbound I-5 in between the W Bakerview Road interchange and the Sunset Drive (SR542) interchange for overhead sign replacement. At the same time, crews will close the Northwest Avenue and the Guide Meridian (SR539) on-ramps to southbound I-5.
From 5am to 2pm on Friday, maintenance crews will close the right lane of southbound I-5 in Bellingham between the Meridian Street (SR539) interchange and the Sunset Drive (SR542) interchange for pavement repairs.
