WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — 2 brothers suspected of being involved in an assault where a Maple Falls man was reportedly shot in the face on Friday, March 24th in Maple Falls were booked into Whatcom County Jail today, April 6th.
Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office issued a news release on Tuesday, March 28th, asking for the public’s assistance in locating the 2 brothers.
According to jail records, Christopher David Gamble, age 31, and James Franklin Gamble, age 34, were arrested and booked into the jail by Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office about 5:30pm and 6pm respectively.
Christopher is being charged with suspicion of the following crimes.
- unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon
- 1st-degree assault
- 1st-degree robbery
- 1st-degree burglary
- felony harassment
Christopher was also booked under an active bench warrant for failure to appear in Whatcom County Superior Court where he faces felony 1st-degree criminal impersonation and bail jumping charges.
James is being charged with suspicion of the following crimes.
- 1st-degree assault
- 1st-degree robbery
- 1st-degree burglary
James was also booked under active bench warrants for failure to appear in 7 Whatcom County Superior Court cases where he faces multiple felony charges for property crimes including theft, forgery, possession of stolen property and stolen property trafficking.
Details have yet to be released about what investigators believe happened the day of the shooting.
