Today’s morning commute – weather – events. Right here in Ferndale.
7:35am: Good morning. Temperatures are in the upper 50s around Ferndale under cloudy skies with little to no breeze. Air quality is being reported in the GOOD range.
TRAFFIC
- Vista Drive between 3rd and 2nd Avenues and 2nd Avenue between Vista Drive and Main Street will be closed until noon as the remnants of the Ferndale Street Festival are packed up.
- Washington Street between Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue remains closed to through traffic until October. The official detour route is via Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue.
- This summer’s resurfacing project on I-5 between Ferndale and Blaine is scheduled to resume tonight. Pavement markings and rumble strips will be installed on the southbound and northbound on- and off-ramps at Portal Way (Exit 263) and Grandview Road (Exit 266) between 8pm and 6am. Drivers can expect ramp closures at these exits during this time. Only one interchange will be closed at a time and only one set of on- and off-ramps according to the contractor.
