FERNDALE, Wash. — Laura Palka says the timing was perfect when she came across information that a 20-year-old Ferndale business, Hair to Dye For, was being sold. Only a few days later, it was hers.
Located at 2015 Main Street, the business name is now Hermosa Hair Design.
Hermosa Hair Design opened June 1st at the new location. Renovations to a more modern look continues as Palka says she is preparing to have 3 chair rental stalls and room for an aesthetician.
Palka says she moved to Ferndale a year ago and rented a booth in a Bellingham salon until setting out on her own. Blonding is her specialty and she loves to do weddings. She also uses and sells hair care products that are all-natural, vegan-friendly, environment-friendly and not tested on animals.
A grand opening is being planned for the 2nd week in July with special deals.
