FERNDALE, Wash. — Whatcom County Parks & Recreation announced this morning, Wednesday, April 20th, northern parts of Hovander Homestead Park that have been closed since November 2021 due to flood damage have been reopened.
According to the announcement, areas that have been reopened include the following.
- WDFW boat launch parking lot
- Nooksack River trail extending from the boat launch parking lot
- off-leash dog area east of the trail
The trail has been repaired and the boat launch parking lot has been graded making these areas accessible.
