The National Weather Service office in Seattle has issued a Wind Advisory for tonight through tomorrow.
As forecast, the Ferndale area has seen approximately 1 inch of snowfall today and temperatures have begun rising. As of 3:30pm, temperatures were around 28°, up from a low of 23° at 6am.
The Wind Advisory will be in effect from 10pm tonight until 10am tomorrow, Monday. Sustained southerly winds from 20 to 30mph with gusts to 45mph are expected. Winds will increase in the middle of the night.
A system will move into the area tonight bringing the winds and replacing the cold air mass with more seasonal temperatures and rain. Highs in the upper 30s are expected tonight and in the mid 40s tomorrow. Periods of rain and blustery weather through Tuesday are expected as a second weather system moves through.
