SUMAS, Wash. — Several train cars that had been sitting on tracks in a BNSF rail yard in Sumas derailed during the flood event Tuesday, November 16th, according to BNSF General Director of Public Affairs Lena Kent as quoted in an Associated Press story. Trains in that location won’t run again until water recedes and tracks are inspected and repaired if necessary, she said.
