Sewer treatment is again on the agenda for tonight’s Ferndale City Council meeting

Tonight’s City Council meeting begins at 6pm in the City Hall Annex at 5694 2nd Avenue.

Included on the agenda is a public hearing regarding the Waste Water Treatment Plant project plan (PDF, 268 pages). According to agenda documents, Wilson Engineering, the design contractor, will make a presentation regarding “the background, requirements, and recommendations given in the Wastewater Facilities Plan. They will also discuss the capital costs, operations and maintenance costs, water reuse options, evaluation of existing facilities, and recommended improvements.”

The purpose of most public hearings is to obtain public testimony or comment.

Also on the agenda:
* A budget amendment to allocate funds for several inches of engineered wood chips to be applied at Flair Park, Vista Ridge Park and Michael Moore Park to provide a safe play surface around playground equipment.
* Capital projects update from Public Works.
