While city and county crews spent last night and all of today plowing and sanding primary roads, for many the best option was not to drive. As a result, roads were relatively empty as were some Ferndale area stores.
With a forecast for additional and potentially heavier snowfall to resume this evening, the following local Ferndale businesses have announced they are closing early so employees can head home in advance of the weather.

Additionally, all Ferndale District schools and Lummi Nation School will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 12th.
