Announcement confirms school supplies will again be provided free to many Ferndale School District students.
The District office announced today that school supplies for all students in grades pre-school through 5 and for students in grades 6 through 12 who qualify for free or reduced meals.
Last year was the first year when supplies were made available for free this way.
According to the district announcement,
This includes pens, pencils, paper, crayons, binders, tissue, erasers and much more. Supplies will be delivered to elementary classroom teachers and be ready for student use when they arrive on the first day of school. Distribution of supplies to students in grades 6-12 who qualify for free/reduced meals will take place Wednesday, August 31 at Vista Middle School Gymnasium (6051 Vista Drive). Stop by between 12:00-2:00 p.m. or 4:00-6:00 p.m. to pick up supplies.

High school students will receive supply lists from their teachers. High school students are advised to be prepared with a writing tool and paper for their first day of classes in September.
The district is asking families to equip each student with a backpack. If this presents a challenge, you can check with your child’s school office personnel once school begins.
