Today’s morning commute – weather – events. Right here in Ferndale.
7:55am: Good morning. Temperatures are in the low 60s around Ferndale under cloudy skies with a breeze from the southwest. Air quality is being reported in the MODERATE range. Yesterday’s high of 87° at the Bellingham Airport set a new record for the day. The previous record was 84° set in 1984. Highs today are expected to be near 70°.
TRAFFIC
- Main Street and the adjacent side streets between 2nd and 3rd Avenues will be closed all day to make way for the Ferndale Street Festival. The intersection of Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue will remain open as this is the detour route around the Washington Street construction.
- Washington Street between Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue remains closed to through traffic until October. The official detour route is via Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue.
- Resurfacing work on I-5 is not scheduled to resume until Sunday night.
