7:45am: Good morning. Temperatures are in the low 60s around Ferndale under partly cloudy skies with light and variable wind. Air quality is being reported in the GOOD range. REMINDER: Very warm temperatures are expected to continue across much of western Washington today. Yesterday’s high, as recorded at a weather station near Ferndale High School, was 86°.
TRAFFIC
Washington Street between Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue remains closed to through traffic until at least September. The official detour route is via Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue.
According to a city spokesperson, expect to see city and county crews continuing to work around Ferndale to freshen up the road striping today. This is a continuation of work began yesterday. Drivers are urged to exercise caution while traveling through the work zones.
