7:40am: Good morning. Temperatures are in the low 60s around Ferndale under clear skies with a light and variable breeze. Air quality is being reported in the GOOD range.
TRAFFIC
Washington Street between Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue remains closed to through traffic until at least September. The official detour route is via Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue.
Old Settlers’ Picnic has begun and continues through Sunday bringing a high volume of traffic wanting to turn left across Main Street at 1st Avenue. Expect some delays westbound on Main Street as a result.

Click for more informationThe Old Settlers Grand Parade starts at 11am today and will proceed down Vista Drive from Ferndale High School to 3rd Avenue and then to Main Street. It will follow Main Street to 1st Avenue where it will turn and head to Pioneer Park. These roads will be closed from before 11am to approximately 1pm.
Otherwise, commute routes in and out of Ferndale are currently open with no visible surprises. Check the current WSDOT traffic cams and commute time estimates anytime by clicking here.
