LYNDEN, Wash. — About 11:15am today, May 12th, first responders were dispatched to a crash on Badger Road near the intersection with Vinup Road.

UPDATE: WSDOT reported the road was reopened at 6pm to all traffic in both directions.

People at the scene reported it appeared the semi-truck was westbound on Badger Road approaching Vinup Road when it rolled over. As of 11:45am, Puget Sound Energy crews were on scene repairing power poles and lines that were impacted by the rollover but no power outage was reported.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation, according to Washington State Trooper Anthony Reese but he was able to confirm no one was injured and no other vehicles were involved. Driver impairment is not suspected.

Law enforcement closed Badger Road between Vinup Road and Line Road and, as of 11:45am, traffic was being detoured via Aaron Drive. Reese said they expected the closure to continue for some time while waiting on a tow truck able to handle the semi-truck and trailer.
