A crash involving at least 3 vehicles reduced eastbound Main Street traffic to one lane as traffic was building ahead of the holiday weekend this afternoon about 4pm.
The crash happened at the driveway from Main Street to businesses south of Main Street by the former Bob’s Burgers location. The crash caused heavy front-end damage to a Volkswagen Jetta station wagon and resulted in a Chevrolet Silverado pickup laying on its driver’s side with one person trapped inside. A SUV also sustained minor damage from the pickup rolling into it.
Whatcom County Fire District 7 crews arrived and treated 2 at the scene including the person extricated from the cab of the Silverado pickup. All treated had minor injuries and did not require transport to the hospital.
By 4:30pm, crews were still cleaning up the crash scene and removing the damaged vehicles and police were still conducting their investigation.
