The bad news is, there are some closed roads due to flooding. The good news is, this is likely to be as bad as it will get since the river appears to be receding.

As indicated on the current Road Closures page, there are a few closed roads as a result of surface flooding and the rising river levels. But, even with more rain expected, this is likely to be as bad as it will get.

8:45am update: The city just added to the good news that they expect to be reopening VanderYacht Park shortly after clearing any debris.

Earlier Nooksack River level forecasts for the Ferndale area expect the river would crest before noon this morning at about flood level (19 feet). But according to readings this morning, the river crested at almost 17 feet about midnight last night.

The National Weather Service lifted its Areal Flood Watch before it was to expire later today.
