Protesters gather at Ferndale US Customs & Border Protection offices

FERNDALE, Wash. — Dozens of protesters gathered this morning, July 3rd, after 10am at the entrance to the Border Patrol Station in Ferndale to protest immigration enforcement policies and treatment of detainees at detention facilities. The station is located at 1431 Sunset Avenue in Ferndale.

Speakers addressed those in attendance with reports of friends and family being mistreated subsequent to being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). A similar event was held at the same location about a year ago.

Similar protests have been held at locations across the country over the past few days and organized by different groups.

The Ferndale event was organized by Community to Community Development.
