Neighbors reported hearing a loud explosion in the area of Thornton Street and Malloy Avenue this morning about 7:30am followed by a power outage.
According to Puget Sound Energy, 78 96 of their customers, mostly north of Thornton Street in the Glacier View neighborhood, have been impacted by the outage (see map).
The initial estimate, as of 7:35am, for restoring power is 9:30am.

Update 8:15am
A second outage has been reported a mile to the west in the Captains Way neighborhood. This outage is reported by PSE to be impacting 7 of their customers (see map). The initial estimate for restoring power to them is 10am. This outages, like the Glacier View outage, remains under investigation.

Neighbors impacted on Captains Way have had their power restored according to PSE.

PSE is now estimating the time to restore power is 1:30pm.

PSE is now estimating the time to restore power is 5:30pm.
Update 10:35am
PSE is now estimating the time to restore power is 12:30pm. A bird/animal is being blamed for causing the outage.

PSE and neighbors are now reporting power has been restored.
