Power outages reported during today’s windstorm

4:15pm: PSE reports the neighbors south of Slater near Lake Terrell Road have had their power restored.

4pm: Wind gusts have stayed below 60mph over the past hour but appear to be trending upward again. From about 1:30pm to 3pm, there have been several 60+ mph gusts. According to PSE, nearly 500 neighbors south of Slater remain without power.

3:45pm: PSE reports power has been restored to the large outage area in west Ferndale. 300-plus customers south of Slater near Lake Terrell appear still without power.

3:30pm: City Hall has closed for the day due to the outage. The traffic lights at 4th Avenue and Main Street are out so the 4-way stop rule is being followed at that intersection. Expect back ups both directions in that area on Main Street as a result.

3:15pm: PSE reports the outage in west Ferndale is quite large (see PSE graphic) and impacts about 1770 PSE customers including the west end of downtown. This outage currently is expected to be restored by 5pm.

3pm: Neighbors from Douglas Road to Ferndale Terrace are reporting a power outage.

2:35pm: Puget Sound Energy reports a power outage in the neighborhoods south of Slater Road near Lake Terrell Road. 317 PSE customers are reported to be impacted. The standard 2.5 hour estimate (5pm) until power is restored is being applied.
