Portal Way businesses receive widespread recognition

Twin Sisters Creamery, located at 6202 Portal Way, was recently featured in a video by Explore Washington State (see below) that takes the viewer through their process of making cheese. Explore Washington State says their goal is to provide people with a sense of what makes each location special and unique, as well as providing insight into the common threads that run through all Washington State communities.

In addition, Twin Sisters Creamery announced they were awarded their first national award last Friday in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Their Whatcom Farmhouse with Peppercorn cheese placed 2nd in the flavored cheeses category.

This Saturday, August 4th, Twin Sisters Creamery will be celebrating their 3rd year in business with an open house with live music, free cheese samples and more.

Another Portal Way business, Corion Landscape Management, located at 6135 Portal Way, was recently recognized as only the 10th company in the country to earn the top certification offered by the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) according to a press release from the company. They are the only company in Washington State to receive the Landscape Industry Accredited Company certification.

Corian officials say the accreditation from NALP is the result of “demonstrating its commitment to customer satisfaction through superior business, financial and ethical standards and by employing Landscape Industry Certified staff to provide the best customer experience.”

Corian Landscape Management offers maintenance and seasonal services for commercial, multi-family, condominium association and mixed-used sites in Skagit and Whatcom Counties.
