Outage leaves over 1,000 in east Lynden without power

LYNDEN, Wash. — Puget Sound Energy (PSE) reports an outage began about 9am today, December 1st, leaving 1,280 of their customer addresses without power.

As of 9:10am, the standard 2-hour estimate for restoring power was being provided while the cause was being investigated.

First responders were dispatched to the intersection of Haveman Road and Line Road in Lynden about the same time due to a report that a large sheet of plastic from a nearby field had blown into the lines causing sparking and arcing.
