NWS: Wind advisory issued for western Whatcom County

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — The Seattle office of the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a wind advisory today, Monday, December 4th, that will be effective between 9am today through midnight tonight.

The advisory warns of southerly sustained winds of 30 to 40mph with gusts up to 50mph expected.

The advisory is for western Whatcom and Skagit Counties, San Juan County and the Admiralty Inlet area.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. National Weather Service (December 4, 2023)
