WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — The Seattle office of the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a wind advisory today, Sunday, December 24th, that will be effective between 7am on Monday through 4am on Tuesday.
The advisory warns of southeasterly sustained winds of 20 to 30mph with gusts up to 50mph expected.
The advisory area is San Juan County, Admiralty Inlet area, eastern Strait of Juan de Fuca and the north coast.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. National Weather Service (December 24, 2023)
