DIABLO, Wash. — Officials with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) reported about 9am today, Wednesday, August 9th, that the North Cascades Highway (SR20) has been reopened.
A 30-mile section of the highway between Nehalem and Rainy Pass has been closed since August 4th due to impacts from the Sourdough Fire.
WSDOT warns that firefighting efforts are continuing and the highway is subject to closures.
