The trees surrounding the fountain at Ferndale’s Centennial Riverwalk Park have been getting the treatment from different local non-profit groups. Tuesday, December 1st, the Ferndale School District was out in force hanging some very unique decorations on their tree.
Staff from the district administration office were on hand to hang binders, clip-boards, pencils and even a globe as a tree topper (well at least as high up on the tree as they could reach).
Signs in front of the trees identify which group decorated each tree.
Plan to join friends and neighbors as the community gathers in the fountain area Friday, December 4th at 5pm for the 8th annual tree lighting ceremony followed by a walk to Pioneer Park for the first day of the Olde Fashioned Christmas put on by the Ferndale Heritage Society.
