BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Bellingham Airport Hampton Inn by Hilton management announced they will be open for guest stays beginning May 7th.
The 98-room hotel was recently built at 1055 W. Bakerview Road at a cost of $20 million according to a press release. It took 5 months longer than planned due to the government-mandated COVID-19 shutdown and extra time needed to procure and ship building materials.
The hotel features a large indoor saline pool and hot tub, fitness center, business centers, a 600-square-foot meeting room and provides an airport shuttle, free Wi-Fi and buffet breakfasts.
The hotel is owned and managed by Missoula, Montana-based Erck Hotels. They have been managing and developing lodging properties in Montana, Washington and Idaho for more than 30 years according to the press release. The company also owns and manages the Home2 Suites by Hilton Bellingham Airport, located just two blocks away.
The hotel will employ approximately 25 workers, 20 of them full-time.
